Elin Figueiredo is Assistant Professor at the Conservation and Restoration Department (FCT-NOVA) where she lectures courses related to conservation, restoration and manufacturing of metals. She is an integrated researcher at the materials research centre CENIMAT/i3N (FCT-NOVA) where she conducts scientific research related to archaeometallurgy and long-term corrosion. Expertise includes elemental and structural analysis, X-ray based analytical techniques such as XRF and XRD, radiography and tomography. She is author/co-author of more than 60 papers in scientific journal and conference proceedings and has been the principal investigator in projects related to ancient mining and metallurgical processes of copper, tin, gold and silver, conservation and long-term inter and intra-granular corrosion. She is the Director of the journal Conservar Património (indexed in WoS and Scopus) and is involved in scientific policies of open access publication (Open Science Europe). Member of ARP – Associação Profissional de Conservadores-Restauradores de Portugal and SPM - Sociedade Portuguesa de Materiais.
